  • If I understand this story correctly, these are indeed clever kids. It sounds like there must have been one year in which Christmas came two days in a row. That is, they got their Christmas presents on Dec. 25th under the old regime. Then they got Christmas presents again on Dec. 26th under the new regime. But hopefully, the Day-After-Christmas sales that Roy was able to take advantage of under the new regime eventually made up for the year that Christmas came twice.
